Spittelmatten Snowshoe Trail, SunnbΓΌel

A marked snowshoe loop above Kandersteg through open valley, pine forest and past a frozen cliff face. One of the best winter days I have had in the Bernese Oberland, fully reachable by train.

Oeschinensee Loop, Kandersteg

A glacial lake surrounded by sheer limestone walls reaching over 2,000 metres. One of the most beautiful half-days I have spent in the Bernese Oberland. The colour of the water needs to be seen to be believed.
